Lancaster South Rotary Club Honors Student of the Month
 
Riley Peart, a senior at Penn Manor High School, has been selected as Lancaster South Rotary Club’s Student of the Month for December, 2021.  She was presented to the Club by Dr. Michael Leichliter, Superintendent of the Penn Manor School District.
Riley is the daughter of Kevin and Megan Peart of Lancaster.                    
 
Riley has consistently earned Honor Roll recognition and is a member of the National Honor Society and Science National Honor Society.  She is the Senior Class President.  Riley is a member of Student Council, Student Ambassadors, and Comet Nation, and participated in the miniTHON.  She plays on the Penn Manor girls’ basketball team.  Riley was a member of the 2021 Homecoming Court.
 
Riley has received an Achievement Certificate of Excellence in Honors British Literature, Certificates of Achievement in Honors Physics and Foundation of Literacy, Excellence in Advanced Placement Psychology, Excellence in Honors U.S. II and Mathematics and a Highest Achievement Award in Honors Algebra II.  Riley was chosen for the HOBY Community Leadership Workshop and the HOBY State Leadership Seminar.  She has been recognized as a Student of the Month by the Millersville Lions Club.
 
In the community, Riley has volunteered at the Loft Community Partnership and at Leola Elementary School.  She has fostered animals through the Lancaster Humane League.
 
In her spare time, Riley enjoys listening to music, doing yoga and spending time with her family and friends.
Following graduation, Riley plans to attend a four year college to double major in biochemistry and public health. 
 
 
Harrison Brown, a senior at Penn Manor High School, has been selected as Lancaster South Rotary Club’s Student of the Month for December, 2021.  He was presented to the Club by Dr. Michael Leichliter, Superintendent of the Penn Manor School District.
Harrison is the son of Dan and Tina Brown of Millersville.                  
 
Harrison is a member of the track and field and wrestling teams, and the Comet Nation Club.  He participated in the miniTHON and was a member of the 2021 Homecoming Court.
 
In his spare time, Harrison enjoys weight lifting, wrestling, hunting and spending time with his family and friends.
Following graduation, Harrison plans to attend a four year college to study business and sports medicine with the goal of opening his own personal training gym.    
 
Student of the Month is selected on the basis of academic excellence as well as school and community service.
