Jessica King has been committed to undervalued people and places over her career in Community Development in Lancaster & Pittsburgh. She is an entrepreneur within nonprofits - utilizing business tools and resources to seek greater social and environmental returns in the community. She has served as the Executive Director of ASSETS for five years and has planned and grown the programs, staff, budget and funding sources substantially. She is currently serving as a Commissioner on Lancaster Mayor Rick Gray’s Commission to Combat Poverty. Born & raised in Lancaster, she is a graduate of Lancaster Mennonite School and Eastern Mennonite University, she earned an MBA with a focus on the integrated bottom line: Economics, Environment & Social Equity from Bard College and studied Impact Investing at Oxford. She lives in Lancaster City with her husband and two daughters.
